OTNet

Professional video encoding platform with HLS/DASH output, DRM support, and multi-platform player.

Visit Project

OTNet is a comprehensive video encoding and streaming platform designed for professionals who need enterprise-grade video delivery without enterprise complexity.

The Challenge

Video streaming infrastructure is complex and expensive. Most solutions require deep technical knowledge, costly CDN contracts, and ongoing maintenance. We set out to change that.

Our Solution

OTNet provides a complete video workflow:

  • **Desktop Encoder**: Local HLS/DASH encoding with FFmpeg and Shaka Packager
  • **DRM Support**: Widevine and FairPlay integration for content protection
  • **Multi-Platform Player**: Web component that works everywhere
  • **Cloud Integration**: Direct upload to AWS S3 or Cloudflare R2
  • **Analytics**: Comprehensive playback analytics and monitoring

Technology Stack

Built with Electron for the desktop app, Next.js for the web platform, and custom web components for the player. The encoder leverages FFmpeg for transcoding and Shaka Packager for DASH/HLS packaging.

Results

OTNet enables content creators to own their streaming infrastructure while dramatically reducing costs compared to traditional solutions.
